Celebrate Congress in Princeton

Come celebrate the 225th Anniversary of Congress in Princeton – when Princeton, New Jersey was the nation’s capital! For five months during the summer and fall of 1783, Congress met in Princeton, making this New Jersey town the capital of the United States.

In 2008, Princeton is hosting an array of historic re-enactments, history and art exhibitions, musical performances and more to commemorate Congress in Princeton. Local hotels, restaurants and shops will welcome visitors with 18th-century hospitality and special promotions.
